We believe that all women are superheroes!
And our professional organizers are here to help you find your cape — the one buried under your clothes you haven’t worn since 2015.
Hey, I’m Julia!
Professional Organizer in Milwaukee AND M.O.M Owner
I’m a mom to four kids ages 15, 13, 11, and 8 outside of Milwaukee, Wisconsin in Wauwatosa. I grew up in Missouri, and was a physical therapist for 14 years before sliding into a stay-at-home-mom role for 2 years. The early pandemic days really kicked my organizational focus into high gear, and Move Over Mess was launched in 2021.
I’ve always loved to organize and declutter when my husband and kids aren’t looking, but I didn't expect to become a professional organizer or a small business owner. Life is funny that way! This journey has allowed me to fulfill my deep desire to help others, while seriously impacting my clients' lives in a positive way. It's a win-win for everyone!
My role as a busy mom means I completely get it: life is CRAZY chaotic. But your physical space doesn’t have to be stressful anymore. Your home should be your safe place to land. Wouldn’t it be a relief to open your pantry and hear less mental noise screaming at you from those jam-packed shelves?
When I'm not organizing, you can find me running long distances, drinking black coffee, being a taxi driver for my kids, or coaching them in various sports.
More Than Organizers—We’re Your Support Team
At Move Over Mess, transforming homes is just the beginning. What we really love is transforming how our clients feel in their homes. We love making a difference in the lives of the women we serve—hearing their stories, gaining their trust, and watching the stress melt from their shoulders as their space begins to breathe again. Organizing may look like bins and baskets on the surface, but what we do goes so much deeper than that!
We know clutter isn’t only physical. It’s the invisible mental load—the decision fatigue, the never-ending to-do list, the emotional weight of things you’ve been meaning to tackle for years. Our team of professional organizers steps in to shoulder that burden with you. In many ways, we act as coaches, supporters, and sometimes even therapists as we guide you gently through the process. You’re not alone, and you never have to feel judged. We’re on your team from the moment we walk in the door.
Meet the Team of Organizers

Lauren
Organizer + Team Lead
Lauren began with M.O.M. in March 2024, and stepped into the Team Lead role one year later. She works 1-2 days per week while balancing life with two young kids at home. She grew up in New Berlin, lives in Milwaukee, has her degree in Interior Design, and worked at Marquette University in the past. Lauren brings a strong sense of determination to the table - she once fit a set of drawers into a tight closet when Julia was ready to give up!

Colleen
Organizer
Colleen started with us in October 2023 and works 1-2 days per week with clients. She is our connector and brings patience and epic folding skills to each job. She grew up in Brookfield, lives in New Berlin, has two grown sons, and was an elementary teacher for 17 years. Colleen loves to tutor students in math, substitute teaches, volunteers with Parkinson’s patients, and is the queen of plural possessives when printing labels (watch out!).

Colleen
Organizer
Colleen joined us in March 2025 and is willing to work as much as possible, as our energizer bunny. She grew up in Milwaukee, lives in New Berlin, has one grown son, and was a teacher for many years before working in IT. When she’s not organizing, you can find her volunteering at the Sanctuary with donkeys, learning new arts and crafts, traveling (even snowbirding to the south for part of winter), and eating at new restaurants.

Beth
Organizer
Beth joined Team M.O.M. in September of 2025 and works 1-2 days per month with us. She grew up in Milwaukee, lives in New Berlin, has three grown boys, and works in accounting at another company. Beth joined our team because she wants to help as many people as possible feel better about their homes again. When she’s not organizing, you’ll find her exercising, playing games with family, or traveling (preferably to a beach!).
Before
After
Julia transformed my basement from a chaotic storage area to a well organized livable space.
She came initially and reviewed what our ideas were. She did two days of organizing with assistants and TRULY TRANSFORMED this space. My advice to any one on the fence is, don’t think twice about it. Even if it means sacrificing something else this organized space will give you so much happiness and mental clarity it will be worth it- it is like taking a vacation in your own home. I was very torn about getting someone to organize MY basement, but figured with a busy career and family commitments I just didn’t have the bandwidth.
In retrospect this was a NO BRAINER! We know exactly where everything is in our basement as each bin is labeled. She made a cute reading corner with all the books and shelves we had, and being a Mom her self every single book is indexed to age and topic. She transformed one corner to a craft area for the kids. We even have a ping pong table now! This is one of the favorite areas in our home! Two before and two after photos, but they don’t do justice to the transformation.
